Something that has boggled my mind since time and memorioum is the loudest and proudest people on the left who have the most passionate speeches and outrage regarding the very real threats of the alt right have done more damage to my mental health than any Nazi or Trump cultist I have ever encountered. It's this passionate reproach towards human rights yet the moment after the protest ends you walk into the conference room for a meeting and ask "these are all great points and really great ideas. How do you plan to implement them? do you want to start a nonprofit or even support small businesses or labor movement to get this going? Maybe we can start a news cast using the school TV station or even something small like a housing organization or tenants union!". Que 5 minutes of silnece only to be called every dehumanizing slur for people with autism or trans people and promptly kicked out the room. True story.. I shit you not...
The no kings protests are valuable but on their own it's not a lot of progress being made because every movement needs a front of house to bring in interest and grab the medias attention and a back of house to work the books, security, finances, and logistics for the organizations, companies, colleges and communities that do the work and fix the problems brought to the forefront by the front of house. Protests are valuable as a marketing tactic but on their own that's all they are a marketing tactic. If you don't have a tangible means of production or service that either fixes or alleviates the problems at hand its really just prefromative. What we need now more than ever are people on the back end like yours truly but also so many more that can do the logistics and tangible side of things to make things better just as much as we need people in be streets demanding better. It's like architects and construction workers you can't build something that lasts if one overpowers the other. The only way to progress is to work together with the skills each of us have at our disposal.

My daily deeds are grounded in recognition of and appreciation for the sacrifices women, especially colored women made/make that benefit all women and children.
I became more aware when my own now adult daughter lost those same protections I was raised with that I assumed much of my life until now. Now I MUST pay it forward. I’m learning late but I'm showing up.
This shit has to matter more than the NFL. For many white men, it doesn't yet, really.
And for many white grandma’s the distractions of disposable income are still drowning out moral accountability to respond to the sparse media coverage of atrocities being committed by white rich criminals protecting rich criminals of all ethnicities and using overpaid thugs to beat and murder that reality into protesting citizens and voters.
My upbringing as evangelical GOP conservative required me to leave and denounce the gop/rnc and its exploitation of false idols for hire as Christian-bible prophets-for-profit-politicians; and its schemed anhialation of any distinction between church and state that they white labeled through The Heritage Foundation.
I'd already left the church.
As puzzled as I am about who could remain gop, let alone champion it by justifying its stain on humanity, as a registered Dem I'm now witness and participant in learning how to speak to all white people I want to shake up and yell at for our entitled denial of reality.

The GOP has mold through its entire operation. The RNC and GOP organizations must be razed.
Until then we see waves and trickles of exhiled, morally shooken or lost victims who once revered the GOP and seek any semblance of decency which for now operationally forces them to the DNC.
